ALL ABOUT MONEY

I recall as a child in Israeli our family was fairly well, owning a house and a car.
However ironically our dad and mum were always complaining about lack of money.
At that time Israeli had since 1948 been declared as an Independent state both under socialism and communist system, though it was not officially announced.
Times were hard around to an extent people shared eggs.
Those conditions perhaps influenced my parents and people of their generation to complain that money is not enough.
At the age of 12 years, I left home and went and stayed in a community commonly referred to as Kibbutz in Hebrew.
There we had a communal lifestyle that people shared what they had and also worked hard mainly on farming with a spirit of harmony among us.
Money was not an issue at Kibbutz like at my parent’s home.
In the community, this triggered feelings of shame and guilt for anyone among us. No one dared to mention even the word money because it was seen as evil and dirty.
As a child at the community, this is where tasted freedom compared to staying with my family who only indulged in conversations of money not being enough.
For 6 years at Kibbutz were I was studying and at the same time working with no salary nevertheless I enjoyed it.
Subsequently, I joined the Israeli army after my completion of secondary studies served a few years and got married at a young age.
Later after marrying when this time I was mid-twenties I went with my then-wife back to Kibbutz.
To my surprise life in the community had drastically changed. People there were now extremely individualistic and less about the community.
It was as if what I had run away from my parent’s home of complaining about money followed me in the community.
From then on I started experiencing the stresses of money and this ended my young marriage and friendships in the Kibbutz.
In the new changes in the community with no awareness of money skills, I found my self several times in debt which I failed to service.
This stressed me to the core.
Then out of the blue, I made a decision never again ever pursue money again.
This happened when I had lost my wallet.
What I discovered in the experience of not letting money be an issue in my life, opportunities magically opened up.
I decided to trust my life to existence{God} and the grace of life protected and provided to me in better ways than if I had decided to pursue money directly.
My choice was and still is not to chase money and not use hard work and effort.
This does not make sense to most people.
I know those who chased and worked very hard for money still complain they don,t have enough money. Even those who have money are trapped in the trap of the feeling money is not enough.
For example, I have my younger brother who has 14 houses and many cars yet he complains he does not have enough money.
It as if he inherited that from our parents.
For young people I suggest strongly for them not to think of money.
Instead, they should focus on what contribution they desire to bring to the World.
People should pursue what is their passion and like day follows night money will definitely come.
The belief people should work hard, chase money is erroneous.
The choice I made was criticized and ridiculed.
Years later I am admired more than my brother who has lots of money yet he is unhappy.
Focus on what your Soul wants and what will make you happy.
I had an outrageous loan in the past which even if I went to work, I would not pay in 25 years.
My Soul decided to pursue my passion and that is Free Diving later began teaching it to many people.
Surprise I was able to get money and pay all the loans within the shortest time possible.
People need to observe where their energy goes.
There were days I was poor where I had no basics such as food and shelter.
Even in the dire situations, I lived through I never allowed myself to feel poor.
The lesson here is you cannot understand money if you have never lacked money.
Society pushes you to feel unworthy for instance my bother who resides in America often used to ask me how much I am worth.
That question no longer bothers me because my brother lacks happiness and freedom.
I advise this young generation that they have to break the chain of attachment of money and not to base their identity on how much money they have or don,t have.
Even if you do not have a dollar you should not allow it to make you feel worthless.
Instead of focusing on getting money, think about giving and the exact things you want will follow you.
Poverty is the state of mind. For example you may have 1 million dollars and you still feel poor or you may have no single coin and feel wealthy.
The gist of having money is to feel wealthy instead of feeling poor.
Poverty is not a permanent disease however the attitude of not having money is a limitation that is experienced by a number of people around the world whether they are actually rich or poor on the surface.
Create your own abundance and you will have to plant it in your mind and heart.
Don,t blame your family and society of how they wrongly conditioned you about money.
You have to take responsibility for your own thinking and beliefs.
Therefore don’t be lazy on the way of your thinking
If you work hard and don,t change your mindset it will all be vanity.
Evaluate your thoughts and feelings about money and don,t allow worry, anxiety, and fear to reign in your mind and hearts.
Become master of your life and don,t be a slave of pastors, rabbi, politicians, and society in general.
Trust God and focus on today and he will provide.
